4th Ironhack project
For this challenge I had the pleasure to work with Marie Ballivet to look at the role of digital media press and the users who consume it every day.
The rise of the digital media press (online newspapers, magazines, editorial articles, …) has seen a tremendous peak over the last years. The audience is increasing as Millennials grow older, demanding all sorts of content.
The best magazines and newspapers had already launched their digital version in early 2000, but it has been only in the last 5 years that the digital experience started to take its…
5th Ironhack project
For our 5th project within the IronHack Bootcamp Julia Morillo and myself worked with The National Wellness Institute (NWI), an organisation founded in 1977 with the mission of “providing health promotion and wellness professionals unparalleled resources and services that fuel professional and personal growth.” Even though NWI has numerous years of experience in the wellness field, their program has been very slow to catch up with technology.
The challenge was to create a digital product for the National Wellness Institution and conduct user research to understand people’s relationship with mental, physical, and emotional well-being…
Final Ironhack project.
Our final project arrived. We were meant to collaborate with a real company to improve real scenarios.
Miro, the cloud-based infinite whiteboard that helps every digital team to visually collaborate, brainstorm and ideate remotely in real-time gave us an opportunity to improve one of their biggest challenges.
Eduardo Gómez Ruiz, our mentor for this project is a UX Researcher at Miro. He challenged us to look at the future of hybrid collaborations:
Conduct a User Research about hybrid collaborative sessions (those with people both in the same room and remotely) and provide a better and more engaging…
2nd Ironhack project — Different approach of the Design Thinking project based on an existing product.
For our second week at IronHack, our challenge was to design the e-commerce Desktop version for a small local business. We could either work on an existing website, or creating a new one from scratch.
For this project, I had the pleasure to work and learn with Victoria Kulaeva and Reep Ver Loren van Themaat
Local shops and practitioners are suffering a decrease in the demand of their services and products due to the extreme situation COVID-19 pushed worldwide. This can affect local economies…
1st Ironhack project — Practice and Implement Design Thinking in 4 days
This document is only being used for educational purposes. This project explains the process I followed to do my first team project on the first week of the UX/UI IronHack Bootcamp: Addressing wicked problems as a design challenge. The goal wasn’t to present a finished or polished prototype, but to focus on isolating, researching and understanding a more precise, granular and specific problem, and finally deliver an overview of the solution.
This article follows the methodology of learning by doing and the objective is to share here the…
Ironhack’s Prework: Challenge Usability Evaluation and Site Redesign
This document is only being used for educational purposes. The task is to create a Usability Report and Site Redesign Prototype for a specific mobile web version application.
Usability Testing is an essential step on any designer’s path. Testing an application to understand if the product built is convenient to use and easy to learn is what today should be a daily task. Not only the user appreciates it but also generates time and costs saving and other resources for any type of business.
Ironhack’s Prework: Challenge 2 Wireframing
This document is only being used for educational purposes. The task is to create a wireframe prototype version of the user journey of bol.com with the sole purpose to deliver a simple representation of what the user flow of buying a product in “the” best online store in the Netherlands is like.
As stated above in the intro, one of the main reasons I decided for bol.com is mainly due to the really simple and easy user experience they have within their application. …
Ironhack’s Prework: Citymapper Challenge 1
This document is only being used for educational purposes to discover and create a UX/UI feature for Citymapper that solves the pain of having to purchase different public transport tickets by different channels.
Citymapper‘s goal is to solve the problems of urban mobility by offering the quickest, cheapest and different multimodal public and private transport routes to their users.
It compares travel options in real-time across all transport networks globally and easily navigates your city with turn-by-turn directions for all your public transportation, walking, cycling and scooter trips.
